The resources offered in this section are provided to help educate
visitors to our site on the history and latest thinking on the role of corporations
in our society.
This includes how corporations have gained significant powers allowing them
influence over:
a) the very elements that define our democracy including our
elections, law making, and government;
b) our water, airwaves, and other
parts of the Commons through privatization which puts control over these
resources in corporate, rather than public, hands;
c) workers whose real
wages continue to fall;
d) communities who struggle to control economic
development over their own town or city; and
e) our environment which by any
number of measures including accelerated species loss, climate change, and lack
of safe drinking water, faces problems unlike any we’ve ever known.
A priority for us at Corporate Ethics International is to
educate the public, consumers, activists, the media, and key decision makers on
the ever expanding influence of corporations in our society and how this needs
to change. We invite you to visit this
section often, as we regularly add new books, films, videos,
reports, and other materials.
