Native American Tribes Oppose Dakota Access Pipeline

Native American Tribes from all over the U.S. and Canada have come together at the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation to oppose Energy Transfer Partner’s Dakota Access Pipeline. The pipeline crosses the Missouri River and the tribes believe it threatens their water supply and cultural and spiritual areas. What started as a small confrontation is evolving into a major battleground with over a thousand people joining the encampment.
